At LTG we're hooked on nature and the benefits gardening brings. We're here to help you get the most out of your outdoor space, filling it with plants and features that attract wildlife and bring you joy throughout the year.
We combine nature rich gardening with companion gardening - we work alongside you if you need an extra pair of hands, or coach and share skills if you'd like to learn new things.
But if you just want to kick back and enjoy your garden, we're happy to work alone to an agreed plan.
We provide a range of gardening services with nature at its heart, using ecological and sustainable methods. You can read more about our gardening ethos below our services.
Carrying out and planning routine maintenance of beds, borders, pots, meadows and grassed areas, ponds, hedges, trees and more.
Restoring areas of your garden that are in need of some TLC and developing maintenance plans to keep plants and features in great condition
Creating planting plans, designing and installing natural features that increase year round interest and attract more wildlife.
We only use peat free compost and are chemical free.
We love gardens with rainwater butts for watering, and compost bins for mulching.
Mulching is always encouraged, it feeds the soil, suppresses weeds and retains moisture. What's not to love about that.
We understand the added benefits of planting native plants, as some wildlife need them to thrive, but we are happy finding the best mix of plants for you.
We like to leave plants standing over winter, providing habitat and seasonal interest.
If we don't have to dig, we won't, preferring 'no dig' or 'little dig' approaches to support soil structure and mycelium networks.
We believe in planting the right plant in the right place. We consider the amount of sunlight, soil type and moisture levels and select plants that will thrive in the conditions available.
Soil is the foundation of any garden. Looking after your soil will increase the beauty and diversity of your garden. To help do this we love to use organic mulches and only dig when needed.
Turning your garden into a wildlife haven can be easy with the right mix of plants, discrete messy corners or edges, and a few wildlife friendly features dotted around the garden.
A short vid of a perennial mini meadow. The meadow is around 5m by 4m and was sown from seed on bare ground in Spring 2021. The seed mix was a grass/flower mix and the grass dominated in the first 2 years. Adding a few home grown flower seedlings in spring and autumn over the last few years has created a better balance. Red campion was May's star (not ragged robin which I mistakenly called it on my voice over!). Ox eye daisy will stand out in June. The pond water level is low due to no rain during most of May 2025.
